Shield Pest Control Presents £1,854 + Gift Aid Donation to Community Hospice
At Shield Pest Control, supporting our local community is at the heart of what we do. Following the success of our recent Charity Quiz Night, we were delighted to present a donation of £1,854 + gift aid to Community Hospice (previously known as Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice).
Our Managing Director Daniel Steward and Contracts & Compliance Manager Alison Bennett recently visited the hospice to formally present the donation and learn more about the incredible work carried out by the organisation. During the visit, they met with Community Relationship Fundraiser, Faye Lillywhite-Buley, who shared insights into the vital care and support the hospice provides to local people and their families.
The donation was raised through our Charity Quiz Night, which brought together customers, suppliers, colleagues, friends and family in support of this fantastic local charity. The event was a tremendous success, and we would like to thank everyone who attended, donated prizes, sponsored the event or contributed in any way to helping us raise such an amazing amount.
As part of the visit, Daniel and Alison were presented with a certificate of thanks and had the opportunity to discuss how community fundraising plays a crucial role in helping the hospice continue delivering its specialist services.
Alison Bennett said: “Dan and I were delighted to visit Community Hospice and meet Community Relationship Fundraiser, Faye Lillywhite-Buley. Organising and taking part in the Charity Quiz Night was a real joy for the whole team. It gave us the opportunity to come together, have some fun and raise money for an organisation that makes such a meaningful difference within our community.”
Faye Lillywhite-Buley, Community Relationship Fundraiser at Community Hospice, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Shield Pest Control for their fantastic support and generous donation. The £1,854 + gift aid raised will help us continue providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families when they need it most. Community fundraising events like this make a real difference, and we are delighted to have Shield Pest Control as one of our valued supporters.”
Daniel Steward added: “We’re incredibly proud of what was achieved through our Charity Quiz Night. The generosity shown by everyone involved was outstanding, and we’re pleased to be able to support the important work of Community Hospice. Hearing first-hand about the difference the hospice makes to local families reinforces why supporting charities like this is so important.”
Everyone at Shield Pest Control would like to thank those who helped make the fundraiser such a success. Community Hospice’s mission is to support anyone living with a terminal illness to live as well as they can, for as long as they can. At any one time, the hospice cares for around 750 people in the community who are living with a life-limiting illness and rely on donations to keep doing this invaluable work. We are honoured to support Community Hospice and look forward to finding more ways to contribute to their invaluable work in the future.
