From Farm Life to Professional Pest Control: Meet Kirsty Herriott
At Shield Pest Control, we’re proud to have a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our customers. Today, we’re delighted to introduce our new pest control Technician, Kirsty Herriott, whose countryside upbringing and hands-on experience have given her a unique foundation for a successful career in pest management.
For Kirsty, pest control isn’t just a job, it is something that she’s been around her entire life. Growing up as the daughter of a farmer, Kirsty spent her childhood immersed in the countryside, learning practical skills and gaining valuable knowledge from her father.
Kirsty explains: “As a farmer’s daughter, I was born and bred in the countryside. My Dad taught me most of what I know about pest control while I was growing up, so I’ve always had experience in the field. Although I was familiar with pest control from a young age, it wasn’t until a few years ago that I decided to pursue it professionally and begin my career as a pest control technician.”
Since entering the industry professionally, Kirsty has quickly developed a passion for helping customers solve pest-related problems. No two days are ever the same in pest control, and that’s exactly what she enjoys most about the role.
Kirsty adds: “I absolutely love what I do. I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of the job and the challenges that come with it. Every situation is different, which makes the work interesting and rewarding.”
With five years doing the job as a profession already under her belt Kirsty’s practical experience, strong work ethic and genuine enthusiasm for the industry make her a valuable member of the Shield Pest Control team.
While Kirsty spends much of her working week helping customers across London and the surrounding areas, she remains firmly connected to her rural roots. When she’s not carrying out pest control treatments and inspections, she enjoys spending time with her two horses and her two working terriers.
Managing Director Daniel Steward is delighted to have Kirsty as part of the growing Shield Pest Control team. Daniel said: “Kirsty’s background, practical knowledge and passion for the industry make her a fantastic addition to Shield Pest Control. Her experience growing up on a farm has given her a natural understanding of pest behaviour, and she brings with her a positive attitude and strong commitment to customer service. We’re pleased to have her on board and look forward to supporting her continued development within the business.”
As Shield Pest Control continues to grow, we’re committed to investing in talented individuals who share our dedication to delivering professional, reliable and effective pest control solutions. Please join us in welcoming Kirsty to the team. We look forward to seeing her continue to thrive and support our customers across London and the South East.
