Shield Pest Control Officially Recycles 1400kg Worth of Waste in 2025 with First Mile

At Shield Pest Control, we’re proud to share that in 2025, we recycled an impressive 1,400kg of waste through our partnership with tailored waste solutions provider, First Mile, earning us a Silver Recycling Award. This places Shield Pest Control in the top 27% of First Mile customers across the UK for total kilogrammes recycled.

Sustainability is central to our mission as a pest control business. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and protecting the planet, and we continue to cut emissions year on year through a range of initiatives. In 2025, we achieved a 100% recycling rate, with zero waste sent to landfill and more than two tonnes of CO₂  missions avoided.

This achievement was driven by improved waste segregation, staff training, and close collaboration with First Mile to ensure materials were recycled as efficiently as possible. We would like to thank our team for embracing sustainable practices and making recycling a consistent part of their day-to-day work.
