Shield Pest Control Launches New Bio-Diversity Project in Support of Bee Friendly Trust

Here at Shield Pest Control, we recognise that bees are an endangered species and we are doing everything in our power to prevent extinction, as well as avoid extermination. We are delighted to reveal our chosen charity for 2024 as the Bee Friendly Trust, a registered charity helping to increase forage for honeybees, creating floral habitats for all pollinators to thrive. 

We understand the importance of wildlife in our environment and want to help to encourage this growth by supporting our local community and engaging in our very own wildflower seed project to help to preserve native pollinators in our local area in South-East London.

The Bee Friendly Trust heavily relies on donations and volunteers to help to raise funds and keep the charity running, including fundraising, planting flowers, buying seeds, and purchasing from its online shop. In order to support this cause, our business has purchased packets of wildflower seeds from The Bee Friendly Trust and we are gifting these to local residents, shops, and primary schools to encourage others to plant the seeds in their gardens/premises, whilst monitoring the growth and impact it has on the local bees, insects and environment.

We hope that as a result of our Bee Friendly Project we receive feedback, photographs, drawings and stories of how our local champions are enjoying their planting and growing experience, and the benefits it is bringing to our local insect population.
